Slicks restaurant, To eat there or not to eat there...

That is the question you must ask yourself.

Alex and myself went to Slicks for dinner to night.
She paid, because she loves me.

We thought, this should be fun, new restaurant, new food, a change of environment basically. We walked in, first impression was that this place looks really nice, well lit, photos of cars on the walls some what spacious, yet still small enough to feel cozy. The man who greeted us was very friendly, though he looked to be the only man working.

We took our seats some what in the back. He was real quick on getting us our menus and asking for our selected beverages, Water with Lemon, only the best for us girls. A moment later when he returned with our water, only to turn around and go back, he forgot the lemons in the water. Not to big of deal though. Funny yes.

When looking at the menu this is some of what we saw:

Flame thrower fries $4.95
Half a pound of steak fries pilled high with cheddar cheese jalapeno’s bacon bits and garnished with green

The bell air $7.95

After many minutes of searching and debating, and drooling I might add. We decided to go with the El Camino, from the description above it sounded great. It had good flavor, good bread, good tasting guacamole(not that I got much of it, which sucks cuz I really enjoy it, seriously we got like a tablespoon amount of it) and rather delicious onion rings. Other than that, we got chicken that was not trimmed and bites of chicken were fatty, fat, fat and unchewable. Giant green peppers, yuck. Don't even get me started with those. They weren't even in the description. We got no salsa, no sour cream, though I wish we would have got some of both of those. Store bought tartar sauce... Really? Don't get me wrong, store bought is okay, but it being a new restaurant it could have made its own if you ask me. The service started out really great and friendly, but some what went down the drain when a few girls walked in. His attention went straight to them. The over all experience was less then I expected, I could factor in that there was only one guy working then, and it was a bit busy, But I'm not entirely sure if I should count that. Alex and I are thinking about giving it another try, maybe trying a burger this time. Hopefully it will go better the next time. In conclusion, over all I would give the Slicks restaurant a four out of ten. I wouldn't say not going there and trying it out yourself, you may have better luck with it then we did, and who knows, maybe there will be more workers. ;]
